Can an Immigrant Register for Selective Service System?
It is beyond expectation for a non-citizen of the United States to get into its army. But there is a clause. Under certain circumstances, non-citizens can serve the selective service. Young people need to sign up for the service if the nation needs them at the time of hostility or war. You can ask your immigration lawyer to learn if you are eligible for this service.
Irrespective of the reason of your presence in the United States you should understand the how the SSS or the Selective Service System functions. In short, you should know if you need to register for the SSS and if yes, what the correct time of registration is.
